Good luck to our Fairymead swimmers swimming at the Burnet Fraser Development meet this weekend. This is a great meet for our up and coming champions. So good luck swimmers, and don’t forget to wear your club shirt and cap. A big thank you also goes out to many of our swimmers not swimming at this carnival. They are actually running the carnival and the adults are assisting. What a great experience for everyone! GO FAIRYMEAD!
Look out Qld, here comes Fairymead!
As a club, we had some pretty awesome swims on relay day. Many of our juniors swam enormous PB’s and came so close to medaling. It was a fun day and a great experience for all who attended. Some of our swimmers also made Wide Bay Relay teams. Wide Bay did really well bringing home an amazing 12 medals. And YES, some of those medals were brought home by our Fairymead swimmers! A big congratulations goes out to ALL swimmers!
Individually, we are doing well with all swimmers doing amazing PB’s and feeling the success of their hard work. A number of swimmers have made finals and have been very pleased with their swims. Kyle Rethamel swam an amazing 200 fly to take the silver medal….and what a race it was! Well done Kyle.
We have many mores swims to come yet, and I am sure a few more medals will come our way. Best of luck for the rest of the week swimmers. We are ALL cheering!

Good luck to our junior swimmers swimming at Gayndah this weekend. This is a great little meet and is usually a lot of fun for our up and coming champions! So have fun, swim well and travel safely.
WOW! What a weekend. Thank you to all of our Fairymead families for helping out with the immense task of running this carnival. Without your help, City of Charm just wouldn’t happen. This year’s carnival was a huge success. The competition was fierce and our swimmers shone. PB’s came thick and fast, medals were won and records fell. The names of Fairymead swimmers were ringing out loud and clear. Well Done Fairymead. Both our swimmers and parents deserve a big pat on there back. Thank You!
Well everyone, the count down is on. Our very own City of Charm swimming carnival is on this coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and it is shaping up to be a good one! Our swimmers have been training hard and will all be hoping for some good PB’s. I am sure we will see some awesome swimming. Parents, we still need your help with baking, raffle prizes and assistance on the day. There are lots of jobs to be done and the old saying, “many hands make light work” really does apply. This carnival is an A grade carnival and traditionally attracts some pretty high class swimmers from all around the State. For those families new to Fairymead, this is the carnival to come and watch. Get involved, watch some swimming, and be part of the Fairymead family. Club nights are great…….City of Charm is spectacular.
Good luck swimmers!
Many Fairymead swimmers are off to Wondai this weekend. Best of luck everyone. We hope it is not as wet as it was last year. Wondai is a great family friendly fun meet and our swimmers usually come home with big smiles. GO FAIRYMEAD!
CONGRATULATIONS FAIRYMEAD SWIMMERS! We had a very large team of swimmers compete at Maryborough – Heritage City swim meet today. Each and every one of our swimmmers shone. From our ambitious little juniors; Grace and Harrison, to our big guys; Tash, Kyle and Caleb….and all those in between. We had loads of PB’s achieved, heaps of medals won, lots of records achieved and a number of age champion towels brought home. It was a great day out and we are proud of each and every swimmer. Well done Fairymead.
